Removing the Armor: By Ayne de Blu

  • Armor: A covering worn as a defense against weapons, words or people.

My green down jacket served many purposes mainly it was my armor. My security blanket.  My armor, to protect against the scary man. My armor, to protect against your words. My armor, and comfort to protect against the loneliness.  My armor, to protect against my mother. My armor, to protect against the elements of the night. My armor, thrown off. Ripped off. Freedom.
